So after this long journey of many things, I did learn more than what I thought I would. I am taking more than just a handful of things with me. I really enjoyed learning about technology. It is hard not to be resistant to many aspects about technology, but there is a reason for them. I still believe there is nothing like a good ole' fashion book, pencil, and paper. But in this new age for education you must be willing to be a lifelong learner, and this includes technology.
I still use igoogle to this day. I love it. I love the way I could set up my home page to things I feel is important for me to see. I also am going to still use my 30boxes, which is the online calender. A visual picture of the calender is the best thing I could use to keep organized. Wish I found that out earlier! I still am using my google reader. I like having my site updated on one page without visiting them everyday, I am still learning more and more about the reader everyday. I even got more people using these things I have learned from 23 Things. I am also keeping the bubble.us and the zoho online writing processor!
I would definitely incorporate many of the attributes into my classroom. And for personal use. I really liked using the character generators, I used them for a power point I had due. Everyone works with technology at a different pace, and is on a different level. These 23 Things helped people understand the important use of technology in our everyday lives to the classroom. People that already have a facebook to people that have never heard of youtube...I think this was actually a great project. I took way more from this project than I imagined from the beginning.
